Armenia

02

Armenia's towns aren't the most overwhelming and it's capital city feels a bit like walking into a set on 'Call of Duty' where you heading into Soviet territory. This is actually great for a cyclist because it is a playground for a collection of interesting wild camping spots. There are definitely glimpses of beauty in the form of small churches on top of hills, showering the city in glory.

Outside the capital of Yerevan, hardly anyone speaks English to the point you can't even ask for water or food; so it is like being in some sort of extended game of charades. The signs are all in what looks like Russian and when going through rural Armenia there is nothing to tell you what the type of shop is - which makes it difficult...

The people of Armenia are outstanding, well pop on Friendly Faces for more info.
